Danosa HS – Mechanically fixed roofing system

Strong and durable, Danosa HS is cross-reinforced with a woven high tensile polyester carrier and has been developed to absorb stress and deformation which is vital for long-term durability of these mechanically fixed systems. The product has been designed to withstand severe wind loads and extreme weather conditions.

Danosa HS can be supplied and installed as a complete system – this includes: vapour barrier, insulation and ancillary products to meet all building regulations and the specifications of the client.

Suitable for:

Metal profiled decking
Timber decking (min 18mm plywood)
Concrete deck (subject to resistance test)
Roof refurbishment

Finishes available:

Self protected smooth finish (light or lead grey as standard)
Standing seam profile finish
Paving or ballast finish (inverted roof)
Intensive, extensive or bio-diverse roof

Available as:

Warm roof (Flat or tapered insulation)
Cold roof
Inverted roof
Living or bio-diverse roof

Specific benefits:

Lightweight
Fast installation process
Excellent wind uplift resistance capabilities
Excellent whole life cost and economy of scale
Low maintenance

Installation method:

The installation involves the laying out of 1 or 2m wide Danosa HS, with specialised fixings located near the side lap and overlapped by adjacent sheets. The laps are heat-welded using semi-automatic hot air welding equipment to form a homogeneous seam joint.

The Danosa HS system is guaranteed and its fixings are high quality corrosion-resistant which incorporate a unique telescopic tube fastener. This tube provides an increased wind uplift performance and almost entirely eliminates cold bridging.

In order for the fully adhered single ply waterproofing to perform at its best, the carrier is required to provide different movement characteristics. For this, a glass fiber mat coated on both sides with plastisol is used. Danosa HS and HSF have high resistance qualities to low and high temperatures and are designed to easily accommodate cyclic structural movement whilst remaining durable and flexible.

Danosa HS and HSF membranes are suitable for roofs where mechanical fixing is not an option or is undesirable. It is semi permeable to water vapour, and so provides an ideal solution to roof areas which experience interstitial condensation, or where it is considered a high risk.

Danosa HS and HSF can be supplied and installed as a complete system, this includes vapour barrier, insulation and ancillary products.

Similar to the installation of the Danosa HS (mechanically fixed roofing system), Danosa HS and HSF membranes are installed through a method involving the laying out of 1 or 2m wide rolls with side and end overlaps of additional membrane. An even coat of Danosa Membrane Adhesive is applied to the membrane and to the surface. The laps are then heat welded using semi-automatic hot air welders to form a homogeneous seam. In inverted or ballasted roof format, Danosa HS/HSF can be laid loose with laps subsequently welded.
